Claire Evans MCP, SRP, BSc
I qualified as a physiotherapist in 1993 from Bradford School of Physiotherapy where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy. I have since gone on to obtaining several modules towards my Masters degree in neuro rehabilitation from Sheffield and Coventry Universities, most recently qualifying in Botulinum Toxin injections.
My love for neuro started many years ago after my first position at the Royal Liverpool Hospital. I started working in neuro private practice 17 years ago in 2002 and have gone on to develop a leading physiotherapy practice covering the North West of England. I have worked extensively in the field of neurology, neuro-surgery, rehabilitation, stroke services and community neuro rehabilitation. I have developed specialist knowledge from working throughout my career in specialist centres including the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Wythenshawe Hospital Manchester, Broadgreen Hospital Liverpool, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, The Royal Stoke & Haywood Hospitals and Leighton Hospital Crewe. I have developed my private practice work over the years and now head a team of dedicated specialist associate physiotherapists who cover the North West. We are a close-knit team with many specialist areas between us. We are always striving to improve our knowledge and pass our skills onto our patients. My special interests are traumatic brain and spinal injury as well as spasticity management. When I’m not at work I love walking my Boxer dog Dennis, cooking, skiing and pilates. |
