A stroke is a type of brain injury that happens when the blood supply to the brain is affected. This maybe due to a 'clot' or a 'bleed' on the brain.
Symptoms of a stroke are:
Weakness/numbness down one side of the body.
Weakness/numbness down one side of the face.
Difficulty with walking and balance.
Memory problems and confusion.
Problems with speech and swallowing.
Emotional and behavioural changes.
