Ellen Colton

Specialist Neuro Physiotherapist

Ellen Colton
I qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2009 from Keele University and I have also completed an MSc in Neuro Musculoskeletal Health Care which I completed in 2012 with a Merit.  I have worked a Specialist Neurological and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in Stoke on Trent and Altrincham in Manchester.  I specialise in musculoskeletal complaints in adults as well as specialising in stroke traumatic brain injuries, multiple sclerosis and spinal degenerative conditions.  I have undergone post-graduate training in clinical areas including acupuncture, exercise prescription, manual therapy, Bobath training, clinical anatomy, performance stability, hydrotherapy and research methods.  I have also undertaken research as a therapist in 2013 on the FAST Indicate Research Trial which looked at functional strengthening treatment to patients with upper limb difficulties following a stroke.  I really enjoy sports and generally keeping fit.  My main interests include horse riding, running, rock climbing and hockey.
